So my mojo hasn't come back but I did do some sewing this weekend. Spring has kind of put me in the mood for some new things and I really want to get my mini line started, so this weekend I decided to start with a trench jacket. I'm working on this:

It's McCall 5525.

The lining is going to be this white and navy dot polyester.

So far it is coming along great. I did a test garment but I feel I could have made it a little looser. I'm still pretty happy with the fit so far, regardless. I'm actually trying to knock of this J Crew trench.

I'm making a shorter version with longer sleeves. I hope to have it done by this weekend so I can start on my other pieces. I hope to have a completed outfit to show soon.

i searched for a good pattern to make a knockoff of the gayle trench myself... but didn't find one... so spent the money. i'm so sad! i mean, i LOVE my gail trench, but i wish i hadn't spent half of what i spent for it. i'm going to buy this pattern ASAP! oh, and your finished trench looks INCREDIBLE!
